Which kinds of software are there?

API

An API is an application programming interface with predefined rules that lets two pieces of software exchange data. An online shop passes an order to the accounting software through an API, and a phone system writes call details into the CRM. A well-documented API cuts hand-copied data between systems and the typing errors that come with it.

Related terms: E-commerce ERP integration

CRM

CRM is software that keeps the full history of a company's relationship with each customer in one record. It is also known as customer relationship management software. Contact details, conversations, opportunities, quotes, and contracts build up on the same card, so a salesperson sees the last conversation and the open quote before calling.

Related terms: ERP, Customer tracking software

What is CRM

Document management system

A document management system is software that stores company documents in one place and grants access by permission. It keeps versions and logs who opened or changed each file. Contracts, drawings, and quotes stop disappearing into email attachments. In Corex Drive, files sit inside the record they belong to, so a customer's contract opens from that customer's record.

Corex Drive module

ERP

ERP is software that brings a business's purchasing, inventory, sales, finance, and HR processes into one shared database. It is also known as enterprise resource planning software. Each department works on its own screens but touches the same records, so a product leaving the warehouse drops out of stock and shows in finance the same day.

What is ERP

Business intelligence

Business intelligence (BI) is the methods and software that turn company data into answers to a manager's questions. The data comes from sales, finance, operations, and HR, and shows up as reports and dashboards. The aim is to reach a decision. Which customer is paying late, or which team is behind target, is answered on one screen.

Related terms: KPI dashboard, KPI

What is business intelligence

CRM with a business intelligence core

A CRM with a business intelligence core stores customer records and also reads them, notices when something is at risk, and opens a task for the right person. Assessment happens in the same core that holds the customer record, so no data is moved into a separate tool. Corex360 is a CRM, ERP, and automation platform built this way.

Related terms: Business intelligence, Quote tracking

On-premise

On-premise is a deployment model in which software runs on the company's own server or data centre. The provider's cloud is not involved. The data stays on the company's own infrastructure, under its own access and backup rules. Corex360 runs on the company's own server or in Corex360 Cloud, with the same Corex360 Security layer in both.

Related terms: SaaS, Data localisation

On-premise CRM explained

Pre-accounting

Pre-accounting is the day-to-day bookkeeping a business keeps before anything reaches the official ledgers. It covers income and expenses, invoices, customer and supplier accounts, and cash and bank movements. Software for this is known as pre-accounting software. The accountant prepares tax returns from these records, and the owner sees who owes what without waiting for month end.

Related terms: Account card, e-Invoice (e-Fatura), ERP

Time and attendance system (PDKS)

PDKS is a time and attendance system that records when staff arrive and leave. It works with cards, fingerprints, face recognition, or a mobile app. The recorded hours become the basis for calculating late arrivals, early departures, and overtime. When the records feed payroll, the month-end timesheet no longer has to be assembled by hand.

Related terms: Timesheet (puantaj), Overtime, Payroll (bordro)

What is PDKS

Project management software

Project management software is a tool that brings a job's tasks, owners, dates, and documents into one plan. Team and manager see progress at once. Who delivers what, and by when, is answered on screen rather than in a meeting. When the project links to the customer and the quote, profitability is tracked from the same place.

Project management software

SaaS

SaaS, or software as a service, is software used over the internet, usually on subscription. Nothing is installed on the company's own machines. The provider handles servers, updates, and backups, and setup is quick. In return, the contract should state plainly where, and under which terms, the data is stored.

Related terms: On-premise, Data localisation

Cloud or own server

Inventory tracking

Inventory tracking is a live count of each product and material coming in, going out, and remaining. Software for this is known as inventory tracking software. Sales, purchasing, and shipping records change stock levels automatically, so availability is visible before a quote goes out.

Which concepts are used in sales and customer follow-up?

Dealer network

A dealer network is a set of independent businesses selling a brand's products on their own account. Manufacturers use it to reach different regions. Head office sets prices, campaigns, and targets, and the dealer reaches the customer. With orders, stock, and balances in a shared record, head office sees what each dealer sells without phoning around.

Managing a dealer network

Account card

An account card is the accounting record that tracks debits and credits with a customer or supplier. An invoice to a customer is posted as a debit and the customer's payment as a credit; for a supplier the direction is reversed. The customer card describes the relationship, the account card the money; linked, sales sees an overdue balance before quoting.

Related terms: Customer card, Collections tracking

Customer and account cards

E-commerce ERP integration

E-commerce ERP integration keeps an online shop and the business's ERP in step, automatically and both ways. Orders, stock, prices, and customer details are synchronised. Nobody keys an order in twice. A product that runs out in the warehouse shows as sold out online, the invoice matches the order, and returns go back into stock correctly.

Opportunity

A sales opportunity is a CRM record of a concrete deal that may turn into a sale.

Lead scoring

Lead scoring is a method of rating prospects on signs of interest and fit. It tells the sales team whom to contact first. A prospect who asks for a quote, returns to the pricing page, or works in a target sector scores higher. When sales and marketing write the scoring rule together, the team talks to the warmest prospects first.

Related terms: Lead, Marketing automation

Mobile CRM

Mobile CRM means opening and updating CRM records in the field from a phone or tablet. On a customer visit, the salesperson opens the card and enters notes and the quote on the spot. Corex360's iOS and Android app connects to the same core; which screens open in the app is shown in the demo.

Related terms: Field sales automation, CRM

Customer card

A customer card is the CRM record that gathers everything about one customer on one screen. That means identity, contact details, conversations, quotes, orders, and documents. The people in sales, support, and accounts all see the same card. In the Corex360 CRM, customer, contact, opportunity, quote, and contract sit in one record, and the relationship score is tracked there too.

Related terms: Account card

Customer tracking software

Müşteri takip programı is the everyday Turkish name for customer tracking software. It keeps a business's customer details, conversations, quotes, and reminders in one list. It is mostly used in the same sense as CRM. The core expectation is that who to call and when, which quote awaits a reply, and what was last said survive a change of staff.

Customer lifecycle

The customer lifecycle is the set of stages a person passes through after first hearing of a company.

Customer lifecycle: full explanation

Marketing automation

Marketing automation is software that runs marketing steps, such as emails, messages, and campaigns, by predefined rules. Someone who fills in a form gets a welcome message, and a reminder is scheduled for anyone who opened a quote but did not reply. Commercial messages must always respect the recipient's consent and the relevant regulations.

Related terms: İYS (Turkish commercial message registry), Lead scoring

Lead

A lead is a person or company known to be interested in a company's product but not yet qualified.

Route plan

A route plan is a field team's regular schedule: which customers to visit, on which day, in what order. Sales and service teams can both work from it. Visit frequency, area, and priority are set in the plan. Comparing the plan with the visits actually made shows which customers were skipped and where travel time was wasted.

Related terms: Field sales automation, Field service management

Route plans explained

Field sales automation

Field sales automation lets visiting reps record visits, orders, collections, and stock on a mobile device. The record reaches head office straight away. Paper order forms no longer travel back in the evening. The manager sees which customers were visited, what was ordered, and what was discussed, before the day ends and without phoning the rep.

Related terms: Route plan, Mobile CRM, Sales force automation (SFA)

Field sales automation

Sales funnel

A sales funnel is a model of the stages a prospect passes through, from first contact to signed contract.

Sales funnel: full explanation

Sales force automation (SFA)

Sales force automation (SFA) is software that takes a sales team's repetitive work off its hands: contact and opportunity records, tasks and reminders, quote preparation, and sales reports. The idea covers the sales side of CRM and usually comes inside a CRM system. Reps enter a record once, and the manager sees which opportunity is waiting at which stage.

Contract management

Contract management is the recorded tracking of a contract from drafting to end date.

Contract management: full explanation

Collections tracking

Collections tracking is the practice of following invoice due dates, payments, and late receivables, and reminding customers on time. The job is not done when the sale closes; it is done when the money arrives. With payment status on the customer card, sales knows about an overdue balance before offering a new quote.

Related terms: Account card

Quote validity period

A quote validity period is the time during which the prices and terms in a quote bind the seller. Once the date passes, the seller can update the price; if the customer wants to order on the old quote, it is reissued. A quote about to expire is a fair reason to call the customer.

Related terms: Quote tracking, Quote revision

How to prepare a quote

Quote revision

A quote revision is a new version of a quote already sent to a customer. It is issued when the quantity, price, discount, or scope changes. Each revision is numbered on top of the earlier one rather than overwriting it. Later, the customer can see which version they approved, and sales can see what changed during negotiation.

Related terms: Quote tracking

Preparing a quote

Quote tracking

Quote tracking is following every price quote sent to customers in a single list. The list shows each quote's status, validity date, revisions, and outcome. Which quote awaits a reply, which is about to expire, and which was lost are answered from the record, not from memory. A quote nobody follows up is a forgotten sale.

What do the messaging and phone system terms describe?

Computer telephony integration (CTI)

Computer telephony integration (CTI) is the technology that connects a phone system to business software such as a CRM. Phone tasks are then handled from the screen. Calls start from the number on the record, and on an incoming call the caller's card can open. Call details then join the right customer's history without separate notes.

Related terms: Screen pop, Call log and call recording

PBX and CRM integration

Cloud PBX

A cloud PBX is a phone system that runs a company's lines through an internet service. Extensions and call routing no longer depend on a physical switchboard. Staff make and take calls on the same extension from the office, the field, or home. No switchboard unit is needed, and call data can be connected to the CRM.

Related terms: Virtual PBX, IVR

Cloud PBX explained

Call log and call recording

Çağrı kaydı is the Turkish term for two things: the call log showing who called, when, and for how long, and the audio recording of the call.

Call log and call recording: full explanation

Multi-user WhatsApp

Multi-user WhatsApp lets several staff members answer messages to a single business number at once. Messages no longer scatter across personal phones, and each conversation is assigned to an agent. When someone goes on leave or leaves, the conversation history stays with the business, not on a personal phone.

Related terms: WhatsApp Business API, Shared inbox

Multi-user WhatsApp

Screen pop

A screen pop is the automatic opening of a customer's card on the agent's screen during an incoming call. It happens when the caller's number matches a CRM record. Before answering, the agent sees who is calling, the last conversation, and any open work. If the number is not on file, such systems usually offer to create a new record.

Related terms: Computer telephony integration (CTI)

PBX and CRM integration

IVR

IVR, or interactive voice response, is a system that greets callers with a recorded voice. Callers are then routed to the right department, person, or information by keypad or speech. Options such as sales and support split calls from the first moment. A well-designed menu stays short and always leaves the caller a way to reach a person.

Related terms: Cloud PBX, Virtual PBX

Omnichannel communication

Omnichannel communication is an approach in which a customer's contacts across channels come together in one customer history.

Omnichannel communication: full explanation

Shared inbox

A shared inbox is one inbox where a team reads mail sent to its sales, support, or info address. Each message gets an owner and an answer there. Assignment settles who replies, so two people never write to the same customer. The Corex360 Messaging module gathers WhatsApp, Instagram, and web conversations in one inbox.

Related terms: Omnichannel communication, Multi-user WhatsApp

Virtual PBX

A virtual PBX is a phone service that delivers a business's switchboard functions as software rather than hardware. The term is often used interchangeably with cloud PBX, and such services set up extensions and call transfer in software. In the Corex360 Cloud PBX module, calls are made from the browser and call history stays on the contact's record.

WhatsApp Business API

The WhatsApp Business API is the business access route for messaging customers on WhatsApp through software. Several agents can use it at once. Unlike the phone app, messages flow into a system, are assigned to agents, and stay on record. Template messages and the recipient's opt-in are subject to Meta's rules.

Related terms: Multi-user WhatsApp, WhatsApp CRM

WhatsApp Business API explained

WhatsApp CRM

WhatsApp CRM links customer conversations arriving on WhatsApp to customer and opportunity records in the CRM. Messages stop living on personal phones; they join the customer's history and are assigned to an agent. In the Corex360 Messaging module, WhatsApp, Instagram, and web conversations share one inbox and can become opportunities.

Which terms come up in HR?

Employee of the month

Employee of the month is the practice of visibly recognising the person whose contribution stood out over a period. When the choice rests only on a manager's impression, it invites argument and mistrust. In Corex360, the business sets the reward rule and weighting, the winner comes from the records, and the manager gives final approval.

Related terms: KPI

Payroll (bordro)

Bordro is the Turkish payroll document for an employee's pay in a given period. It shows gross pay, extra payments, statutory deductions, and net pay. Its input is the timesheet: days worked, leave, sick leave, and overtime come from there. When the timesheet is assembled by hand, payroll errors usually start at that stage, before any pay is calculated.

Related terms: Timesheet (puantaj), Time and attendance system (PDKS)

What is PDKS

Overtime

Overtime is work beyond the statutory weekly working hours.

Overtime: full explanation

Leave tracking

Leave tracking is the orderly recording of employees' annual, personal, sick, and unpaid leave. Requests, approvals, and remaining entitlement are kept with it. Employees know what they are owed, and managers know who will be away and when. In the Corex360 Human Resources module, leave and advance requests pass through an approval flow before they are recorded.

KPI

A KPI, or key performance indicator, measures how close a company, team, or person is to a goal. New opportunities per month, receivables collected, or service tickets closed on time can each be a KPI. A good KPI is chosen sparingly, is easy to understand, and can be influenced by the person's own work.

Related terms: KPI dashboard

Measure your team fairly

KPI dashboard

A KPI dashboard is a management screen that shows selected performance indicators with current data as charts and summaries. The manager sees where things stand against target without waiting for a report or asking anyone, and steps in early when things slip. When it draws on business records rather than hand-built spreadsheets, nobody argues about the figures.

Related terms: KPI, Business intelligence

Personnel file

A personnel file gathers an employee's documents from hiring to departure. It holds identity, contract, training, health, leave, and disciplinary records. Employers are expected to keep it, and it can be requested during inspections. Kept digitally, it is open only to authorised people, and because it holds personal data, KVKK rules also apply.

Related terms: Company asset tracking

Timesheet (puantaj)

A timesheet, known in Turkish as puantaj, is an attendance chart for a period, day by day. It shows days worked, days on leave, on sick leave, or absent, and overtime. It is the core input for payroll. Built automatically from attendance records and approved leave, it cuts month-end counting and disputes.

Progress payment (hakediş)

Hakediş is the Turkish term for a progress payment in construction and contracting. It is what a contractor has earned from the client for work completed in a period, and also the document showing it. It is calculated from measured quantities, unit prices, and earlier payments. An approved progress payment becomes the basis for invoicing and collections.

Work order

A work order is a written task document for a service, maintenance, or production job. It states what the job is, who does it, where, when, and with which materials. In the field it is also known as a service form. When the technician finishes, the work done, the materials used, and the customer's sign-off go on the same document.

Rules engine

A rules engine is a software component that applies if this, then that business rules to data. It then starts the matching action itself. Setting a reminder when a quote gets no reply by a date is an example. In Corex360, X AI follows rule-based work and stops to ask the user on decisions about money, contracts, and people.

Related terms: Approval chain, AI assistant

Rules engines explained

Approval chain

An approval chain is the workflow of approvals a request or document needs, in order, before it takes effect.

Field service management

Field service management is the planning and tracking of technical teams who visit customers. It covers their work orders, appointments, materials, and completion reports. The customer who reported a fault knows when the technician will arrive, and the manager sees which jobs are still open. With service history on the customer card, nobody repeats questions on the next visit.

AI assistant

An AI assistant is a part of business software that understands plain-language instructions. It reads and summarises records and follows up defined tasks on the user's behalf. It takes on routine work and leaves decisions alone. The Corex360 assistant, X AI, reads email, follows up work, reports back, and leaves the decision to the user.

Which terms come up in stock, orders and documents?

e-Delivery note (e-İrsaliye)

An e-İrsaliye is the electronic version of the paper dispatch note, issued in the Turkish Revenue Administration's standard format and delivered electronically. It has the same legal standing as a paper delivery note. It is mandatory for businesses within its scope; check who falls within that scope against current rules or with your accountant.

Related terms: Delivery note (irsaliye), e-Invoice (e-Fatura)

What is pre-accounting

Delivery note (irsaliye)

An irsaliye, or delivery note, is the document that travels with goods sold or sent elsewhere and shows what they are, how many, who sent them, and who receives them. In Turkey it is also called a dispatch note and is governed by the Tax Procedure Law. The invoice is usually issued against it, so the two should match.

Related terms: e-Delivery note (e-İrsaliye), Inventory tracking

Inventory tracking and ERP

Critical stock level

The critical stock level is the lowest quantity of a product in the warehouse at which it should be reordered. When stock falls below it, a new purchase starts, so sales or production do not stall while the supplier delivers. The level depends on daily usage and the supplier's lead time, and is reviewed as the seasons change.

Related terms: Inventory tracking, Inventory turnover

Inventory tracking and ERP

Pro forma invoice

A pro forma invoice is a preliminary document giving the buyer the price, quantity, delivery, and payment terms before a sale is final. It creates no accounting entry and is not an invoice for tax purposes. It often works as a formal version of a quote; in foreign trade, buyers use it to arrange payment or a letter of credit.

Order fulfilment

Order fulfilment is the whole chain of work from confirming a customer's order to picking, packing, shipping, and delivering the goods. Stock, warehouse, carrier, and invoice are all part of it. A delay at any link shows up for the customer on the delivery date, which is why the order's status should be traceable at every stage.

Related terms: E-commerce ERP integration, Inventory tracking

E-commerce and ERP

Inventory turnover

Inventory turnover is the ratio showing how often a business sells and replaces its stock in a period. It is usually the cost of goods sold divided by the average inventory value. Low turnover points to products sitting in the warehouse and tying up cash; high turnover means stock runs down fast and supply needs close watching.

AI agent

An AI agent is software that plans steps towards a goal, carries them out with tools such as record search or drafting, and reports back. An assistant mostly answers a question or instruction; an agent tries to see a task through. The steps it may take without approval are limited in advance. Corex360 has a Corex Agents screen for this.

Which concepts matter on the regulation and data side?

e-Archive invoice (e-Arşiv)

An e-Arşiv, or e-Archive, invoice is issued electronically in Turkey to buyers not registered for e-Fatura. Consumers are one example, and the invoice reaches them by email or as a printout. The issuing business stores it electronically and reports it to the Revenue Administration. It is a common invoice type for businesses that sell online.

e-Invoice (e-Fatura)

An e-invoice, or e-Fatura, is Turkey's electronic invoice in the Revenue Administration's standard format. It is issued and delivered electronically. It has the same legal standing as a paper invoice. It is used between two taxpayers registered in the system, and businesses within its scope must join under the conditions set by tax regulations.

Zoning status (imar durumu)

Imar durumu is the official zoning document issued by the municipality. It shows what a plot may be used for and under which building conditions. Setbacks, building height, and floor area ratio are read together with the plan notes. For architecture practices, zoning queries and plan note reading are planned for the Vesya Corex Architecture module in Corex360.

KVKK

KVKK is the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law. It governs how personal data is processed, stored, and transferred in Turkey. Every business holding customer, employee, or applicant data must explain why it processes that data, keep it secure, and respond to requests from the people concerned. The choice of software directly affects meeting these duties.

Plan note (plan notu)

Plan notes (plan notu) are the written rules that complete a Turkish zoning plan's drawn decisions. Under the Regulation on Making Spatial Plans, a plan forms one whole with its sheets, legend, notes, and report (Article 7(1)(b)); it is approved (Article 32(5)) and made public (Article 34(1)) together with its notes. They are read alongside a plot's zoning status.

Encrypted backup

Encrypted backup means copying data at regular intervals and locking the copy so only an authorised key opens it. The copy is stored in a separate place. It brings data back after a hardware failure, an accidental deletion, or ransomware. Restores should also be tested regularly, because a backup that has never been restored is not a safeguard.

Data processing agreement (DPA)

A data processing agreement (DPA) sets out how a data processor handles personal data for a data controller.

Data processing agreement (DPA): full explanation

Data processor

A data processor is an individual or organisation that processes personal data on a data controller's behalf. It acts under the controller's authority. A cloud software provider hosting a company's customer data is, in most cases, a data processor. The duties and security responsibilities between the two are usually set down in a data processing agreement.

Related terms: Data controller, Data processing agreement (DPA)

Data controller

A data controller is the individual or organisation that decides why and how personal data is processed. It is also responsible for the system that holds the data. A company keeping its customers' details in a CRM is the data controller for that data. The duties of informing people, keeping data secure, and answering requests fall first on the controller.

Related terms: Data processor, KVKK

KVKK and hosting

Data localisation

Data localisation is the principle, or preference, that data is stored and processed within a particular country's borders. As a general rule, KVKK allows data to be kept outside Turkey and makes transferring personal data abroad subject to separate conditions. Some specially regulated sectors may have their own in-country storage requirements.

Related questions

What is a call log?
In Turkish, çağrı kaydı covers two things: the call history holding a call's number, date, time, and duration, and the audio recording of the conversation itself. The history shows who called whom and when. A recording is personal data, so it needs its own notice and retention rules.
What is an approval chain?
An approval chain is a workflow that sets which people or roles must approve a request or document, and in what order, before it takes effect. A rule decides which requests need approval; the chain decides who gives it. Each decision stays on record with who made it and when.
What is a lead?
A lead is a person or company that has shown interest in what you sell but has not been qualified yet. A web form, a card left at a trade fair, or a price question on WhatsApp can all create one. Once the need, budget, and decision-maker are clear, the lead becomes a sales opportunity.
What is a sales opportunity?
A sales opportunity is the CRM record of one piece of business under discussion with a specific customer that could be won. It holds the product or service, estimated value, stage, owner, and expected close date. The customer record describes the buyer; the opportunity describes the deal.
What is a sales funnel?
A sales funnel is a model that splits a team's open deals into stages, from first meeting to close, and shows how many deals wait at each one. Prospects are many at first contact and fewer at every later stage. Its real value is showing where a deal has waited longer than usual.
What is company asset tracking (zimmet)?
Asset tracking, called zimmet in Turkish workplaces, is recording which employee received which company item, such as a laptop, phone, key, or tool, on what date and in what condition, and when it came back. Responsibility changes hands at handover. The return list on leaving comes from this record.
